Hi Coyote Parents!! First, I want to apologize for not getting this information to you sooner. Over the past week, we have had several discussions about what the last day of school should look like. In the past, students have been dismissed after lunch on the day before Christmas break. However, because we have a game that evening, the decision required additional consideration.

Here is what we decided: We will have a half-day of school on December 19th. Students will return from the movie, eat lunch, and buses will run at 12:00 noon. Teachers will need time to enter final grades and prepare their classrooms for the holiday break. After the buses leave, there will be no student supervision on campus. All students are encouraged to go home and return later for the evening game.

I hope you have a fantastic holiday break, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

🎉 IT’S FOOD DRIVE TIME, WESKAN! 🎉 Our 2nd annual showdown with Wallace County Schools is BACK — and so is our chance to defend our title! 🏆 That’s right… we brought home the traveling trophy last year, and it’s been looking real nice on our shelf. We’d hate to pack it up and send it down the road… so let’s not. 😉 ✨ How do we keep the trophy? Easy. We simply do what we do best: show up, give generously, and out-can, out-box, and out-donate the Wildcats! 🛒 Bring your canned goods, boxed foods, and pantry staples. 💪 Bring your competitive spirit. 😄 Bring your sense of humor—because nothing says “school pride” like stacking a mountain of green beans higher than anyone else. 📎 Flyer is attached with all the details! Let’s rally together, Weskan. Let’s fill those shelves, support our community, and keep that trophy right where it belongs. Ready, set… DONATE! 🥫🔥

Get ready, Coyotes Pack,
Because the week before break is about to get a whole lot more FUN! 🎉
Next week, our staff and students are kicking things up a notch with a campus-wide TURKEY HUNT! Turkeys will be hiding all over the school and grounds, and it’s your job to track them down and record your discoveries on your scavenger hunt card.

Want to go solo? Go for it. Want to form a team? Even better! (Just be ready to negotiate who takes home the prize… 🦃😉)

There are 10 turkeys. You’ll receive two clues each day during the morning announcement since we’ve got a full 5-day week. As you find each turkey, record it. The clues will be displayed on the wall outside the office.

And here’s the twist…
If you spot a turkey that isn’t part of the clue list, don’t ignore it! Record that sneaky bird, too. Bonus finds are absolutely encouraged!

Grab your recording form below, keep your eyes open, and let the turkey hunt begin! 🦃🔍✨
