Hello, Coyote Families!
I wanted to share a schedule update for Friday, September 11. Since we took Monday off for Labor Day—and I think we all needed it, we will be in school on Friday the 11th!
Our teachers have planned a field trip to Fort Wallace that morning, and we are excited for our students to enjoy this learning experience. Buses will run earlier than usual, and the bus for the field trip will leave the school at 7:15 a.m. Because of the early start, school will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. This will also give families additional time to travel to the game at Northern Valley.
Thank you for your flexibility and support. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Mrs. Sexson or me. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting Friday with our students!

**HS Football Update**
At the request of Satanta, The start time on Friday has been moved to 6:30 MT.
All JH games are scheduled to start as originally planned. 3:00 VB - 4:30 FB
Our bus headed to Syracuse for volleyball had some electrical issues along the way just south of Tribune. Tribune is graciously bringing their bus to get our girls to the game, and the team is on schedule to arrive before game start. If you are a parent attending the game, please sign your children off and take them home with you if you can. If your child needs a ride back to Weskan, they can ride with Mr. Cox in the school suburban home. Thanks for your understanding. -LS
JH/HS Sports Pictures will be Wednesday. Forms should have been sent home today with athletes.
If you do not get a form, you can still send money that day and we will have forms available that athletes can fill out.
Weskan Athletics:
If you are wanting to watch today's HS Volleyball games, we are still working on the livestream feature in Hudl, but believe we have the setup complete.
You can go to www.fan.hudl.com and search for Weskan High School.
With the possibility of there being some glitches or technical problems the first few times we try, we will be streaming everything for free for the next week.
We will attempt to stream today's games at Ransom.
Our JV begins at 2:00, with Varsity playing 3 more games on the day!

Every year we have to check in computers, and then when we return in the Fall, we have to check them out. Well, it's that time of the year, and we have to check them out. The letter explains everything. Please read it and get the signature pages back to us

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY—school starts! We are so excited to welcome everyone back and kick off an amazing school year!
A few important reminders as we get started:
Please remember that we have a school dress code. Even on hot days, students are expected to dress appropriately for school.
Also, NO CELL PHONES are allowed during the school day.
* Students in grades K–8 may not bring cell phones to school.
* Students in grades 9–12 are strongly encouraged to leave their phones at home or secured in their vehicles.
* If a student brings a phone into the building, it must be securely checked in upon arrival. Students may stop by the office to pick up their phones at the end of the day.
We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow! Let's make it a fantastic first day and an incredible year. Go Coyotes!!

We are excited to welcome all of our fall athletes Monday!
At 3:00, we will be watching the concussion training video as a large group with both JH and HS students.
If you have not turned in a physical, they are due before you are allowed to practice.

Athletics Update:
Reminder we will have our parent meeting at 5:45 tonight in the big gym. The gym floor can be walked on but we ask that no one goes out to play on it until Monday.
This is a parent meeting, kids are welcome but there will be very little for them tonight.
Also if you have physical forms, we will have a basket to drop them off at the gym entrance. They are not due today, but must be turned in before the first practice along with signed concussion forms. Thank you!
We can't wait to see you at our open house tomorrow from 4:30-6:30 pm. Classroom teachers will be available to meet you and answer any questions you may have.
We have a couple of new classes / programs that are offering a time to meet with parents together during open house to answer common questions. If these times don't work, you're welcome to meet up with teachers at a later convenience.

Hello, Coyote Families!
I want to clear up some confusion about our preschool schedule. I know several different versions have been shared, and I am guilty of contributing to the confusion as well—so I hope this helps clarify things.
Preschool begins on August 18, along with the rest of the school. This is different from previous years, when preschool started after Labor Day. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we make this change and continue building an enriching, engaging program for our youngest Coyotes. We are excited to welcome them!
If you have not yet turned in your paperwork or paid the required fees, please do so as soon as possible. School begins in just seven calendar days!

If your child will need transportation to or from school this year, please complete a Transportation Request Form. We ask that a new form be submitted for every family needing transportation, even if your child(ren) has/have ridden a route in previous years. The start of the school year is just around the corner! Over the past few weeks, the office has received many questions about class schedules and schedule changes. To help ensure a smooth start to the year, we are not making schedule changes at this time. Students will have the first three days of school to request schedule changes. Please keep in mind that some students may be placed in classes that differ from what they originally requested or selected during pre-enrollment.
Mrs. Sexson and I have carefully reviewed the master schedule and class enrollments. In a few cases, priority was given to upperclassmen and high school students to ensure they could meet graduation requirements, which affected placement in some classes. While we want to offer as many courses as possible that students are interested in, we also work to maintain balanced class sizes. Our largest class has 23 students, and that enrollment is unavoidable.
We are excited to welcome everyone back! Join us on **August 13** from **4:30–6:30 p.m.** for Open House and our fall sports meetings. We look forward to seeing you there!

Athletics Update:
Hi everyone - we have a few reminders as we near the start of school and our fall sports seasons.
1. Summer Weights is finished. Thank you to all the kids who committed to coming every day. We had a great summer!
2. All sports parents, please make plans to attend our athletics meetings on our Back to School night on Thursday, August 13. We will have a large group meeting at 5:45, with short fall sport break off meetings after.
3. If you have not already, Please bring your physical forms into the office or you can turn them in that evening. Students cannot begin practice without a physical on file. If you need one, contact the office or Coach Clow.
