Hi Coyote Families! We’re making a small change to improve student safety during drop-off and pick-up times. Please use the drop-off area on the northeast side of the building for all morning and after-school drop-offs and pick-ups. We've noticed some students being dropped off in the parking lot near the breezeway, and we want to make sure everyone stays safe. If you're picking up your child during the school day, feel free to use the breezeway door, as it’s less congested at that time. Thanks so much for your support and flexibility!

Hi Coyote Families! I want to share some important information about the upcoming road construction on Highway 40, which will start Monday, April 7th. The project will begin at the Colorado/Kansas state line and move eastward, which may impact bus routes and those driving from Colorado to school. The daily progress will vary since crews are upgrading and replacing highway shoulders along with the road. By mid-next week, they should have a better estimate of how long the delays will last as they work toward Sharon Springs. Please plan for alternate routes as needed, and we will adjust bus routes accordingly. I’ll provide updates as soon as I receive more information. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. It’s a great day to be a Coyote!

Dear Coyote Families, I want to take a moment to address a recent PowerSchool notification that some of you may have received. PowerSchool is the student management system we use to track attendance, grades, and other essential student and staff information. Recently, some families have received emails from PowerSchool regarding a data breach. I want to reassure you that this incident did not directly impact the Weskan School PowerSchool internal system. However, our student information is housed within their system because we utilize PowerSchool's platform. Our system contains fundamental details such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses. However, PowerSchool does not store financial or other identifiers such as Social Security Numbers or banking information. If you have received an email from PowerSchool, I encourage you to review the details carefully and take any necessary steps regarding the identity theft protection services it provides. I have also been informed that emails are being sent from individuals related to the data breach who may have your or your student's name and are asking questions about the breach. We can't confirm that they are from PowerSchool, so be cautious. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
