Grade School Music Contest

On Monday, March 3, the 5th-8th grade students traveled to Sharon Springs to perform the solos that they have been working on the past couple of months. They performed in front of a judge, that rated them with either Advanced Performance (AP), I+, I, I-, II+, II, II- or a III, on their solos. The results of their performances are listed below.
Students earning a I- rating are: JH Boys Ensemble I-, Shaelynn C.-Clarinet I, JH Girls Ensemble I-, 6th grade choir I-, JH choir I, Robyn S.-flute I+, Lindy S.-snare I, Jared M.-alto saxophone I, Brandan E.-clarinet I-, Kassie H.-flute I, Nick S.-vocal I, Tran V.-clarinet I-, Tori P.-vocal I, KellievY.-flute I+, Trever F.-vocal I+, Colton C.-vocal I-, Jori M.-vocal I-, Eva F.-vocal I, Samuel M.-vocal I+, Kelsie H.-vocal I-, Lindy S.-vocal I-, Tyler C.-trombone I, Kassie H.-vocal I-, Nick S.-trombone I, Grace P.-French horn I, Grant F.- alto saxophone I, Brandan E.-vocal I-, Zach U.-trumpet I, Leyton M.-trumpet I, Grace P.-piano I, Robert M.- trombone I+, Samuel M.-piano I+, Kelsey H.-clarinet I, Trever F.-trumpet I, Tori P.-piano I, Hayden W.-alto saxophone I-, and Kelsey H.-piano I.
Students receiving II ratings are: Brin T.-clarinet II, Tyler C.-vocal II+, Leyton M.-vocal II+, Hayden W.-vocal II+, Robert M.-vocal II+, and Kelsey H.-vocal II+.
The flute trio (Kellie Y., Lauren K., and Kassie H.) did an outstanding job on their piece and received an AP, which is a perfect rating.
