Triplains Invitational

The Weskan Coyotes travled to Colby for the Triplains invitational on April 8th. In the boys field events Drew F. placed 2nd in Discus with a throw of 113ft 3in. In running events, Eric Y.placed 6th in the 110 High Hurdles with a time of 17.61, Cole H. finished 4th in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 5:15.08, Jesse W. finished 4th in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:13.72, Eric Y. finished 6th in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 45.23, and Cole H. finished 2nd with a time of 11:22.46 in the 3200 Meter Run. Will H., Matt K., Jesse W., and Nathan M. finished 4th in the boys 4 x 800 Meter Relay with a time of 9:18.87. Overall, the boys finished 9th out of 16 teams.
In the girls field events, Raney O.placed first in Triple Jump with a jump of 33’1”, Payton W. got 6th in high jump with a jump of 4’10”, Cassondra W. 6th in Javelin with a throw of 88’2.5”, and Savannah N. placed 2nd in Pole Vault with a jump of 7’6”. Sheena S. earned 6th with a throw of 80’11.75” in discus, 1st in Shot Put with a throw of 36 ft 9.25 inches, and 4th in Javelin with a throw of 90’3”. In the running events, Danica C. placed 2nd in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 13:69, Cassondra W. placed first in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 17.3 seconds closely followed by Lakaya S. in 3rd place with a time of 18.51 seconds, Breanna H. got 1st in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 53.0 seconds while Kayla L. came in 6th with 55.28. Raney O. got 4th in the 400 Meter Dash with 1:07.50, and Hollie M. got 2nd with a time of 2:36.3 in the 800 Meter Run. The 4x400 Relay (Raney O., Kayla L., Hollie M. & Danica C.) got 2nd with a time of 4:32.26. The 4x100 Relay (Danica C., Savannah N., Hollie M., & Breanna H.) also placed 2nd with a time of 53.89. The 4 x 800 Relay (Hollie M., Kayla L., Raney O., Breanna H.) placed 1st with a time of 11:14.87. The Weskan Girls placed 1st in the Girls Division out of 16 teams.
