Weskan Reaches Standard of Excellence

    Weskan School has been recognized for attaining the Standard of Excellence on the 2007 statewide assessments, which requires having a significant portion of the student body scoring at the advanced and exemplary levels. Building wide the following classes achieved the Standard of Excellence in the stated subjects: Grade 5, 6, 8 & 11 in Reading; Grade 3, 5, 6 & 7 in Math; and Grade 11 in Writing. Individual students that also met that goal were awarded prizes for their outstanding performance and recognized by the State Department of Education. The following students achieved Standard of Excellence in Reading: Grace P., Peyton S., Allison D., Kelsey H., Lindy S., R.J. D., Samuel M., Jordan O., Tori P., Nick S., Kellie Y., Wilson C., Hillary M., Nathan M., Tanner N., LaKaya S., Meghann C., Emma C., Breanna H., Deanna H., Hollie M., and Savannah N.. In Writing, Lindy S., Brynne H., Hillary M., Emma C., Breanna H., Deanna H., Hollie M., Savannah N. all reached the Standard of Excellence. In Math, the following students achieved Standard of Excellence: Peter C., McKenna H., Layne M., Noah O., Grace P., Tyler C., Kelsey H., Leyton M., Lindy S., R.J. D., Samuel M., Tori P., Nick S., Jori M., Kolton S., Kellie Y., Tanner N., and Garrett R.. Weskan School is extremely proud of all our students and their efforts on the assessmentsand would like to thank the teachers for their role in preparing the students for the assessments. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!
