Soup and a Show

Last Saturday night was another enjoyable evening for Weskan High School and its visitors. At 5:00, the NHS members prepared and served the chili soup, beef stew, and dessert for supper to over 100 guests. The proceeds were used to raise funds for the new playground and we were overjoyed to add over $2,000.00 to the fund. At 5.30 pm the Weskan Talent Show, which was sponsored by the Playground Committee, started and entertained the audience with approximately 12 presentations. Those performances ranged from humorous skits to kindergarten knock-knock jokes to musical presentations to magic tricks. The “stage” was claimed by Weskan students as well as talents from Sharon Springs and surrounding areas. All in all, the skills presented were enjoyed by everyone, our guests weren’t starving anymore, and the evening was a relaxing way to end the day.
