The Coyotes set the bar high with an undefeated season last year. The incredible coaching combination of Brett Clow, Ty See, and Josh Schattel led the Weskan High School football team on to the first Six-Man Football Championship in Kansas.

When asked to compare this season to last, Coach Clow said, "It's hard to compare season to season. Last year, at this time, we were pretty unsure about several positions as we had graduated three really good players from 2015. But several guys stepped up into some big roles.

This year, I think we return with a lot of experience and some very good players, but again will have to fill some very important positions. But, each year it has nothing to do with how many wins or losses, it is 100% about playing our best football each week, learning how to compete, and having fun doing it!”

The Coyotes lost two very valuable seniors after last season, Greg Kuykendall and Austin McQuillan, causing a few new seniors to step up. “It puts a lot of pressure on my back, but anything is possible” said current senior, Bailey McQuillan. Along with Bailey, the seniors this year are Dallas Seader, Doniley Sexson, and newcomer, Keaton Tesmer.

The first home game this year will be Friday, September 8, 2017, against the Natoma Tigers. We wish the coaches and players a great season. Good luck!
